Full Site Template Import

Full Site Template import is a guided process that runs inside a modal window.

It follows multiple steps to ensure everything is properly prepared before importing, including plugin requirements and system setup.

Import Flow (Step-by-Step) #

1. Select Template #

• Open Template Importer → Full Site Templates
• Click Install Template

👉 This opens the import modal

Step 1 — Confirm Import #

Inside the modal:

• You will see:
• Template name
• Features list
• What will be imported
• Click Start Import

Step 2 — Download & Prepare #

System will:

• Download template package
• Prepare template kit
• Initialize import process

👉 Status shown inside modal
👉 User cannot close during process

Step 3 — Required Plugins & Settings #

If required:

• Modal switches to plugin setup step

You will see:

• List of required plugins
• Status:
• Not Installed
• Installed (Inactive)
• Active

Actions available: #

• Install (opens new tab)
• Activate (opens new tab)

Additional options: #

• Disable Default Colors (Elementor)
• Disable Default Fonts (Elementor)

👉 Click Apply & Refresh
👉 Then click Next Step

Step 4 — Ready to Import #

Modal will show:

• “Ready to import templates”

👉 Click Start Import Template

Step 5 — Import Process (Multi-Step) #

System runs multiple internal steps:

5.1 Import Templates #

• All templates inside kit are imported one by one

5.2 System Assignments #

Automatically performs:

• Import ACF / custom data
• Assign Template Builder
• Assign Forms
• Assign Templates
• Assign Menu
• Set Front Page

👉 Progress bar shown in modal
👉 Percentage updates in real-time

⚠️ Do NOT close or refresh during this process

Step 6 — Completed #

When finished:

• Modal shows success state
• Import marked as completed

Available actions:

• Visit Site
• Close

Cancel Flow #

If user tries to close modal before completion:

• Confirmation modal appears:
• Keep Import
• Cancel Import

If canceled:

• Imported kit will be cleaned up

Important Behavior #

• Import runs fully inside modal
• Multi-phase process:
• Prepare → Plugin Check → Import → Assign → Done
• System handles everything automatically after start
• No manual setup required after completion

Key Difference (IMPORTANT FOR USER) #

This is NOT a basic import.

This system:

• Validates requirements
• Guides user step-by-step
• Handles full site setup automatically

Troubleshooting #

Stuck at plugin step
→ Install & activate required plugins, then click Apply & Refresh

Cannot continue
→ Make sure all required plugins are active

Import stopped
→ Retry import from beginning
